Sadie is my grandmother. A woman that has shown me thoroughout the years that everyone deserves to feel and look their best no matter what their age.
With 22 years running my own salon, I have been by the side of many women going through the aging process. I have listened to their stories, heard their hopes and their fears that come with aging as a woman.
More importantly, I have seen their confidence grow when they have the opportunity to feel their best.
My experience as a beauty therapist helped me to identify the lack of suitable products available for woman at the age of menopause and above. As we age, our skin starts to change and so to should our beauty regimes. However, make up is often targeted at a younger demographic with minerals and nutrients in it that don't support changing skin types.
They also don't support women going through the menopause whose bodies are experiencing new things. A report presented by the UK Government, shows that 27% of woman say that the menopause has a negative impact on their career progression. Shockingly, one in ten actually leaves their jobs because of it.
As well as alterations needed in the wrokplace to support women, changes need to be made in the products created for women.
This is why I am dedicated to creating products that support women, build their confidence, allow them to become leaders and achieve their best.
We are not just creating products, this is a promise. This is a promise to ensure that every one can continue to age with grace.
Sadie's Secrets honours the confidence, dignity and beauty of my grandmother Sadie. It allows me to create and innovate new techniques to bring confidence to every one, every day.
It is my hope that it allows you to fulfil your goals, achieve your best with confidence, and maybe inspire a young child looking up to you.
